A goal a period....
Minto Mad Dogs traveled not far to the Brussels arena for a match against our Midget LL Black Crusaders.
When it appears that one team has a bench full of players and the other is a little on the short side, some feel that is how the score is going to turn out....but not with these Crusader. What they lack in numbers they make up for in determination.
Avery McArter didn't waste any time, only 37 seconds into the game he took a great pass from Drew Van Wyk to give us our first goal of the game and our only one in this period. On that same rhythm Avery was in the right spot for a pass from Logan Finlayson adding the second goal to the game and his statistics. Hard to beat that for talent!!
After a break to flood the ice and catch their breath, the boys came out ready to play as were down a goal heading into the third. It didn't take long for Logan to see a great pass from Connor Bridge and carry the puck to the other end for our final point of the game. This tied up the scoring and left both teams leaving the rink with a tie to their standings.
With the end of regular season coming to a close and the start of playoffs right around the corner. the boys are ready for to see what lies ahead. I know that they will work hard and as usual enjoy the company of teamwork. We are heading into a weekend of 3 games in a row. With little time off keep up the great work boys!!
