A great season end...
Midget LL Black played in Brussels against TCDMHA for the final game of the play offs and season. The energy was high in the dressing room and boys were glad to be playing one last match together.
Scoring for the Crusaders started early in the game at 14:32 with Avery picking up a pass from Carson. This would be start of a great game for Avery. Seven minutes later Nolan and Carson passed back over to Avery where he gave his team their second point and his second goal. This would be all the points scored in the first period.
Second period went longer without any scoring when at 4:28 Carson scored single handed giving us a total of 3 goals. Working hard in his last game, Jeff picked up a pass from Carson and scored his last goal of his minor hockey career. Great work Jeff!! A nice end to the second period and a much needed time out for our 6 skaters.
The last period of play seen our team gain a point on the board and a hat trick by Avery. Nolan and Jeff assisted Avery in this accomplishment. Proof again of great teamwork! Only 10 seconds later TCDMHA put one on the board.
This was the last game of the season for these boys and last OMHA sanctioned game for Sem and Jeff. Everyone of these boys have a lot to be proud of, most games were played with 7-8 skaters and of course Trevor in net. This takes a lot of dedication for young men this age, as life of work, school and social time is always busy and we as coaching staff are more than proud of each player. A special thanks to Sam McArter for always cheering on our goalie and every time we scored. It is nice to have young energy and admiration in the stands.
