Oops....1 too many penalites and 1 too few skaters...
Bruce Peninsula 2 traveled in our direction this time to play on our home ice and the outcome was a first for our squad.

The game was going to be a challenge and our BBMHA Midget LL Black team knew that.  We had 6 skaters and of course our goalie, Trevor.

Scoring didn't start until almost the end of the first period by Bruce Pen #2.  Our guys were working hard and it was race to the bench to get any sort of rest.  After Bruce Pen scored their second goal, we came right back with our lone goal of the game by Jacob Roth...our star defense/forward.  With another point added to the visitors side it was 3 to 1 in the second period with only 52.5 seconds to play....and that is when the wheels fell off!!

It was only a couple minutes I swear, but I ran out to the car to get some advil for one of our players when we had a penalty already being served when a couple of boys received coincidental calls thus leaving us with not enough players to "ice a team".  Rules state that we must be able to fulfill a line of 5 players and we could not do that with the double penalty call thus ending the game after 58 minutes of play and almost 2 periods.  BBMHA Crusaders had to forfeit the game to Bruce Pen #2, giving us a loss. Again a downfall of a small midget hockey teams.

Tough way to lose a game boys, but remember we as coaching staff are very proud of the ones who came out to play and did their best to come together as a team.  No shame in walking away the better person and a true teammate!!
