Financial Assistance (Blyth Brussels Minor Hockey)

The following organizations offer financial assistance for families with a child or children involved in recreational sports.  Full details can be found on each program's website.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart
The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program gets kids in the game by covering the costs of equipment, registration and/or transportation.

The application period for fall/winter programs is (July 1 - Nov 15).  Assistance cheques for successful applicants are mailed directly to the Treasurer of Blyth Brussels Minor Hockey.

For the hockey season, applications from the Blyth Brussels Minor Hockey Association can use the following information for Treasurer contact:

Once a cheque is received from the Jump Start program, it is applied to the balance owing for registration.  At that time the Treasurer will contact the parent(s)/guardian and arrange to exchange their registration cheques for cheques at the lower
balance of registration owing.

Kids Booster Club and Jumpstart Canada
c/o Huron-Perth Children's Aid Society
Programs to provide assistance for children to take part in sports or cultural activities.


KidSport Canada
KidSport™ Ontario provides grant assistance to local children 18 years old or younger who are facing financial barriers preventing them from joining organized sport by helping cover registration or equipment costs.

Applications must be submitted 45 days prior to activity start date.
