Last Game of Regular Season....
To round off regular season games for the PeeWee Rep Crusader they traveled to Mt. Forest for a final match. It ended in another victory.
Scoring started half way through the first when Brett McCutcheon picked up some great passes from Shea Cox on defense and Jake Bromley on forward. As a group they found the way to get the scoring started. Less than four minutes later Carson Bromley, also one of our defensive genius', took possession of the puck and rushed the offensive end for a lone handed point on his roster and the team's second point of the match. With only 3 defensive players at today's game it proved to be a busy area of the ice to play.
The second period was busy time for both teams. The Rams weren't going down without a fight as they scored 4 goals in this time slot alone. To even up the scoreboard, Crusaders marked up their side with 2 more points. Brett scored his second goal after Carson passed the puck to Shea who gave it to Brett for the point. Only a few minutes later Connor Dale got in on the action with a solo goal evening up the score at 4 each. It was time for an ice flood and much needed rest for both teams.
Our Crusaders took the third period equally as serious as the rest of the game with their fifth goal approx 3 minutes into play. It was an unaccompanied point for Brett. A great talent to watch. Half way through the last third Jake took opportunity with a talented pass to Brett and another point for the Crusaders. We are up by a couple points and spirits are running high when Connor again worked his abilities, alone, into our last and seventh goal of the game.
It was a good way to end regular season and be prepared for the upcoming Silverstick Tournament in Tiverton at the end of the week.
