Our biggest competition this season....
The PeeWee Rep Crusaders traveled to Goderich for a match against the Sailors. All season this team has proven to be our biggest competitor.
The Crusaders weren't able to allocate one in the win column for this game but their heart, desire and determination was nothing short of amazing. From forward to defense to goalie EVERY player whether part of the peewee rep team or an AP have nothing to be ashamed of. Having missed the first period in person and only able to comment on the last two thirds, it was like watching a good Toronto Maple Leaf game. When that team is down and falling behind they come out ready to take back control and that is how it appeared with our Crusaders.
Both goalies, Hayden Lee and TJ Groves proved themselves between the pipes. Eye catching glove saves, great pad work and minimizing the rebounds was how these goalies worked their magic. All our forwards never stopped making good passes. Ava Strome stole back the puck for many shots on the opposition's net. Brett McCutcheon worked the puck, moved through their defense and made many attempts on counting a goal. Connor Dale as well used his long reach for a couple breakaways. Our defensive crew skated hard at keeping shots down to a minimum. Carson Bromley never failed to work his opponent to the outside, lift a stick or move the puck out of reach. Kurtis Marks kept up with the white jerseys and never stopped skating hard.
After today's game in Brussels we have our team Christmas party with Coach Trevor sporting a new suit...a great time for the team to let loose and have some fun.
