Midget Rep Crusaders have decent showing at Silverstick
The Crusaders didn't have to travel far for Silverstick, opening the tournament in Blyth.

The Midget Reps took on St. George and played a solid team game, with Jarron Thompson having another great game in net. The Midget Reps couldn't pull off a win losing 2-1 in the final minutes on a seeing eye shot by a St. George player.
The Crusaders welcomed Bailey Bos back from his sabbatical and he scored the only goal for the good guys.
Defenseman Drew VanWyk was named the game MVP for the Crusaders.

Game two was against Shallow Lake and was arguably the best game the boys have played this season.

Carson Richmond open the scoring with a power play goal.  Mason Weber won the faceoff back to Richmond who let a quick, hard shot off for the goal four seconds in to the power play.
On the second goal, Jack Pipe carried the puck in to the Shallow Lake end and have a give and go with Carson Richmond. Myles Johnson who went to the net was able to slide home the rebound off a Richmond shot for the goal.  The Crusaders went up 3-0 on a goal by Bailey Bos, assisted by the always hard working Jared Shearer.
Goalie Spencer Lazarevich stopped 44 or the 45 shots he faced for the win.

Game three was another good team effort and the boys came away with a 4-1 win against Central Perth.

Bailey Bos opened the scoring near the end of the first period with assists going to Drew Van Wyk and Mason Weber.
Jared Shearer was finally rewarded for his hard work with the second goal with assists to Mason Weber and steady defenseman Alex Coultes. Jacob Roth put the Crusaders up by 3 by roofing a rebound he found in front of the net. Jared Shearer got the lone assist.
Mason Weber, with an assist by Bos, put the game out of reach with the fourth goal of the game.
Goalie Spencer Lazarevich lost his shut out bid half way through the third period while the Crusaders were down two men. Lazarevich shut the door the rest of the way moving the Crusaders in to the quarter finals later in the afternoon.

The Crusaders must have used all of their energy in the earlier game as they came out flat and lost to the eventual Silver Stick Champion South Bruce Blades 6-0.

The boys came out flat and had a horrible first period and were down 6-0 at the end of it. They came out a little better in the second and third period, and great saves by goalie Jarron Thompson kept blades to six goals against, but unfortunately the Crusaders weren't able to generate any offence to cut in to the deficit.
