The Old Mill/MARCC Apparel Crusaders were outshot 63-16 Sunday night and lost 8-0 to the BCH Ice Dogs.
The Crusaders welcomed back defenceman Dakota Coultes for his first game of the season, but he wasn't enough to change the fortunes of the team.
The Ice Dogs out skated the Crusaders who weren't able to generate any offence.
Jared Shearer continued to play and skate hard for the Crusaders, as did Darian Fritz, but many times they were alone in the offensive zone making it an easy night for the BCH goalie.
Defencemen Alex Coultes and Drew VanWyk both played solid games, rushing the puck and taking the body when they could.
The Crusaders aren't the sum of their parts yet and continued hard work should help them right the ship.
