Midget Reps open their season.
The Midget Rep Crusaders opened their season on Wednesday hosting Listowel Cyclones in Brussels .
The Crusaders were short 5 of their regular players, but were helped out by AP players Devin Bridge, and Jason Wiltz.
The Crusaders held their own for the first two periods, with some keys saves by Jarron Thompson, but were unable to contain the Cyclones in the third period ending up on the short end of a 7-1 score. Five of the Cyclone goals were scored by a former AAA player, so take those away and the score was would have been closer at 2-1.
Jason Wiltz scored the only goal for the Crusaders, with the recently un retired Jack Pipe and Jacob Roth having some good scoring chances.
A shout out to Jared Shearer, Drew Van Wyk, and Alex Coultes who skated hard and created scoring chances.
The Crusaders play again Wednesday in Brussels against the South Bruce Blades.
