Good Week for the Bantam Reps
A good week by the boys brought home 5 out of 6 possible points.  The first win was over Bruce Peninsula by the score of 6-3 on Sunday, October 23 in Blyth.

Big goals by Wyatt Ducharme scoring 3, Hayden TenPas, Quinton Sjaarda and Arden Coultes with 1 each.  Assists by Jordan Hubbard (2), Dustin Pennington(2), Reece McArter, Trent Michie and Sjaarda with 1 each.  A hard fought effort from everyone and a solid win for Matt McNichol in goal.

The second win came on Thursday, October 27 in Shallow Lake.  A lop-sided affair ending 11-0 for our boys.  Goals by Pennington (6), Sjaarda (2), Coultes, Michie and TenPas, 1 each.  Assists went to Ducharme (2), Coultes (2), Sjaarda (3), Pennington (2), Michie, Jarod Logan, TenPas and McArter with 1 each.  Shutout by Dalton Carey.

The boys were feeling pretty good going into Mildmay on Sunday, October 30 but a hard skating squad surprised our short-handed team and fought them to a 1-1 tie.  Missing Ducharme due to a hitting from behind penalty in Shallow Lake, left us with only 10 skaters.  Mildmay got out to the 1-0 lead at 9:41 of the second on a powerplay and held that lead into the 3rd period.  Pennington tied it up on an individual effort 2 minutes into the 3rd.  Both teams traded chances in the rest of the 3rd with both Carey and the Mildmay goalie playing strong games!  Even though they were outworked and outskated in the game, they still were able to hold onto the tie.

Hopefully this was a learning experience for the boys and they will be ready for Hanover on Wednesday night in Brussels at 9 pm.
