A disappointing upset...
The Crusaders played BCH Icedogs on home ice to an unfortunate end. Final score was 7 to 2 for the opposition. These boys have never had a score as this, it just wasn't their night.
The players skated hard, took shots on net and our goalie tried, but was unable to stay ahead of BCH. Attitude is a HUGE factor when the scoring starts to favour the other team and I feel that had a lot to do with the outcome of this match.
BCH started the scoring and the boys just couldn't catch up. Brock Weber received a pass from Jeff Gordon to give us our first point. At this point in time we are only 2 goals down and lots of clock to catch up. In the third period Logan Finlayson also took a pass from Jeff Gordon in order to give us our last point. We couldn't make all the shots count and the penalty box had a revolving door. Another result of a teams frustrations.
These boys did skate hard, but just couldn't get it all organized. We are back in Brussels for a match against Howick on Friday night, March 11th.
