A good game against the neighbours....
The midget LL Crusaders traveled to Clinton for the first of two matches against their midget LL Icedogs.  With a necessary win riding the tailcoat of the Crusaders, this game was important.  Having said that, these boys always play hard and do their best to come out on the plus side of the scoreboard.

The scoring all started early in the first period when Logan Finlayson added another point to his roster after a pass from Luke Townsend...one of our two APs...otherwise known as "Theresa's APPS!".  BCH was not to be outdone because it was only exactly one minute later when they found the only hole our goalie must have.  No problem, we are back to an even playing field.  With only 2:43 minutes left in that first period, Owen Weber took a rebound shot from Drew Van Wyk to gave us the lead.

Our last two goals were scored in the second period, the first being at 10:35 minutes by Logan, again, who also seen a rebound shot from Drew and took the opportunity to have the puck meet the net.  Approximately five minutes later Jeremy Wilts took a pass from his defense partner, Trevor DeCorte who in turn took his pass from Theresa's other APP, Jason Wilts to give us the last goal of the game.  BCH didn't sit still in the third period as they scored to end the game with a 4 to 2 finish.

We are truly grateful for the extra dedication of Teddy and Jason.  These boys play for the bantam LL Crusaders as well as skating their fullest for our team.  Both boys are a great addition to the team and have dedicated a lot of extra time and effort to helping us out.  Hats off to their parents for allowing them to play and us to have their company.

Both these teams will meet on Wednesday March 9th in Brussels for their last match in playoffs.  Come on out and cheer on the Crusaders!!!  Hopefully our APPs will be able to play and you can watch them in motion... :)
