Peewee AE Suffer 2nd Loss of Season
It was a rough affair Sunday night as the boys travelled to Mitchell to take on the Meteors.

The Blyth Brussels crew came to Mitchell with a short bench but came out in the first period flying with some fast paced end to end action, as one fan put it.  Many scoring chances, great saves at both ends, and some big hits. By the end of the first period the game remained scoreless.

Halfway through the second, Mitchell opened the scoring and scored another 3 minutes later taking a 2-0 lead.  At 1:52 left in the second, Nolan Johnston scored a beauty off a rebound from Jared Shearer, and Avery McArter.  It was a one goal game as the teams hit the locker room at the end of two.

Blyth Brussels started the third with a man in the penalty box and it only took 30 seconds for Mitchell to capitalize followed by an even strength goal just 1:30 later. The Bulldogs had some scoring chances in the third but couldn't solve the goaltender from Mitchell.  Jeremy Wilts stood tall in the Blyth/Brussels net making some fantastic saves as always among the barrage of rubber he faced. Mitchell scored another late in the third making the final 5-1 for the home squad.

Next game is Friday night in Brussels at 7:30.
