Peewee AE's Finish Regular Season Strong
The Blyth Brussels peewee AE's finished their schedule strong with a win at home, and a tie and a win on the road.

On December 28th the Monkton Wildcats came to Blyth for the first game of a home and home set. Blyth Brussels would get on the board quick when Avery McArter would go in alone and score for the early lead. The visitors would answer back two minutes later to tie the score. Both teams would spend most of the game killing penalties, but it would be Carson Richmond scoring in the third on a powerplay assisted by Craig Raynard to take the lead. The hometeam would hang on for the win.

The World Jr's wouldn't be the only ones playing on New Year's Eve as the boys made the return trip to Monkton. Blyth Brussels would get on the scoreboard halfway through the first when Wyatt Machan would bulge the twine assisted by Richmond. It would be the 2nd before Monkton would pull even, but would be short lived when Owen Andrews sneaked one in assisted by Dylan McNeil. Monkton would score again to even the score, but three minutes later defenceman, Brett Stevenson, would unleash a Howitzer to give his boys the lead and get his first of the season. The 3rd would see Blyth Brussels take the lead when McArter would score assisted by Raynard. The Wildcats would claw their way back in the remaining minutes of the 3rd but the AE's would hold on for the tie.

Friday night the boys travelled to Milverton to face the Drives for their final game of the regular season. It would be a penalty filled affair but the boys would skate away with a dominating 6-1 win. All six goals were scored by six different players. The boys showing unselfish play, passing the puck nicely, keeping their opponents running, they showed they're still progressing as a team and looking forward to playoffs. Goal scorers for the Bull-Dogs were Dylan McNeil, Jared Shearer, Carson Richmond, Avery McArter, Wyatt Machan, and Benny Newell. Assists went to Nolan Johnston 3, Damon Allen 2, Craig Raynard 2, and singles going to McArter, McNeil and Richmond.

The boys will play a home and home exhibition with Zurich starting in Blyth Wednesday night at 7:30pm to help keep both teams fresh for playoffs.
