A Win and Loss for the Peewee AE's
The Blyth Brussels Peewee AE's had a win lose weekend in their final games before the Christmas break.

The Peewee AE's took on the Mitchell Meteors Friday night in Brussels, the boys keen to avenge their loss to the Meteors earlier in the season. Craig Raynard opened the scoring 4 minutes into the first period on a pass from Owen Andrews to take the lead. Both goaltenders would keep the game scoreless for most of the remainder of the game with Blyth Brussels Jeremy Wilts coming up big when it counted, holding Mitchell at bay. Jared Shearer would put the Meteors on ice scoring with 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd for the 2-0 lead. The Bull-Dogs would hold on for the win.

Sunday afternoon the boys travelled to Goderich to meet the Sailors. A hard hitting, chippy affair as the two teams are no strangers to each other playing 3 times previously. The Sailors would open the scoring quickly in the first and remain 1-0 for quite some time when the Goderich goalie would get caught out of his net and a clearing shot from Wyatt Machan would slowly make its way into the Sailor net to tie the game. Goderich would answer the call, regaining the lead soon after, but Avery McArter on a pass from Nolan Johnston would go in and score knotting the game at 2. Blyth Brussels would take the lead on a pointshot from Machan for his 2nd of the game. Jarron Thompson would stand on his head making some great saves but the Sailors would manage to finally sneak one by him to tie the game in the 3rd. With four minutes remaining the Bull-Dogs would find themselves in penalty trouble with two men in the box, they would kill the first two minutes successfully letting the fourth man back on the ice but the Sailors would eventually score with less than a minute to go after a scrum ensued infront of the net, and Goderich managed to stuff in the loose puck for the lead and the win. The boys also wish forward Drew Van Wyk a speedy recovery as he's out 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury.

The Blyth Brussels Peewee AE's would like to wish their parents, fans, and fellow BBMHA safe and Happy Holidays.
