Midget Dogs on the Road to Ripley
With games on back to back nights, the Midget Rep Dogs travelled to Ripley on Monday, October 25th. There was much end to end action, with great saves by each teams goalie. The first period was scoreless.
Things would get heated up in the second, with both teams warming the penalty box. Ripley would be the first to hit the twine at 8:09 in the second. Blyth would tie things up with 2:10 left in the same period. Shea McLean would put Blyth on the scoreboard with assists by Matt Chalmers and Matt Popp.
The second would end in a 1 all tie. After the flood, tempers cooled down, but that didn't stop the big hits. Blyth would stay out of the box for the remainder of the game however, the opponents were not as lucky. During a Ripley penalty, Blyth scored at 6:51 of the third again by McLean. Assists to Chalmers and John Lecomte.
Ripley would continue to apply pressure on Blyth right to the end of the game. Goalie, Ryan Baker was strong in the net for Blyth. Great game Bulldogs.
