Midget Rep Dogs Win in Overtime
On Tuesday, February 1st, fans had the opportunity to get some exciting action at the Brussels Arena when the Midget Reps Dogs met up with Lucknow in game 4 in their 6 point series.  Prior to this game the point total was even for both teams at 3 all, and the pressure was on.

Blyth would finish the first with a 3 goal lead.  Contributing to the goal count were Shea McLean, Adam Cronin and Austin Sjaarda.  Assists were awarded to Cronin, Sjaarda and Connor Prescott.  Blyth would again be rewarded in the early minutes of the second with their hard work when Sjaarda found the mark, assisted by Zach Watson and Cronin.

Unfortunately, Lucknow was not in agreement with the home team's sucesses and in the dying seconds of the second period, would tie the score up with 4 unanswered goals.  The Dogs were rattled.  The flood between the second and third was what the home team needed.

About 5 minutes into the third frame, the home team would get 2 unassisted goals, 11 seconds apart to open up the distance from Kirby Cook and Aaron Popp.  Less than 3 minutes later we were in a tie game again, when Lucknow would score 2 more.  A very exciting game for the crowd.  With just over 2 minutes remaining in the game Cronin would be celebrating, but not for long as Lucknow was not ready to give up.  Regulation time ended in a 7 all tie.

With just over 3 minutes left in the overtime period, McLean would end the battle with assists from Jeremy Ross and Cronin.

Thanks to those players from the Midget LL team for your excellent contributions!!  This game was truly a team effort, with players stepping up the pace with solid play when required.  Good work Midget Dogs.

Good luck in game 5 in Lucknow - Saturday, February 5th at 7:30 pm.  Game 6 if required in Blyth - Sunday at 7:00 pm.
