Atom LL Start Season with Mixed Results
The Atom LL played their first game of the season in Zurich on October 18th. The Zurich team opened the scoring in the first with a pair of goals, followed up with a couple more in the second.

Blyth's, Carson Richmond would score unassisted in the second, but that's all they would get by the Zurich team. Zurich would add three more in the third to take the game 7-1.

Blyth then travelled to Listowel on October 24th. We had a much better game than the week before. This game would see Drew Van Wyk score, assisted by Owen Andrew's in the 1st.  Blyth would go on to score 4 more in the 2nd.  Scoring for Blyth, Josh Gibbon's, Jeremy Wilts, Owen Andrews and Damon Allen. Assisting on the goals were Van Wyk,  Richmond and Gibbon's.  Blyth's Richmond would then score 2 more in the 3rd assisted by Van Wyk and Gibbons. Final score: Blyth 7, Listowel 0.  Earning the shutout was Franklin Marshall.

Blyth then travelled to Drayton on Halloween. The boys came out to play (even with some of them not feeling 100%), it was a close game throughout.  After several chances at both ends of the ice, Drayton would take the lead in the 2nd period. Blyth would keep working hard and was stopped on several chances by the Drayton goalie.  Drayton would score another late in the 3rd to take a 2-0 lead.  Blyth pulled goalie, Franklin Marshall to attack with the extra skater, but Drayton held us off the board.  Drayton takes the game with a final of 2-0.

Blyth would then have their first home game of the season on November 1st against Teeswater.  Another close, hard fought game was played by the team.  Several chances at both ends of the ice and excellent goaltending by goalie, Jeremy Wilts, would keep us in the game until the final buzzer.  Blyth's Richmond would score the team's only goal of the game, with a perfect pass from Cameron Gauthier.  Teeswater would answer with their goal in the 2nd to tie the game up.  After more chances at both ends in the 3rd, and nobody scoring, the game would remain tied.  Final score Blyth 1, Teeswater 1.  Good work team.
