Midget LL Start Playoffs
It has been a crazy start for the Blyth Midget LL playoff season, with the first game against Teewater being cancelled due to weather.

Both Blyth and Milverton teams braved the elements on Sunday, February 22nd, and it was exciting from the drop of the first puck.  Just 2:29 into the first period, Milverton managed to land a puck in Blyth's net, but it only took NINE seconds for Blyth's, Austin Sjaarda, to take off down the ice and tie the score.

The game remained tied until just into the second period when Brad Greidanus scored an unassisted goal to take the lead.  With only 25 seconds left in the second period Ryan Sjaarda, assisted by Mike McDowell, sent another puck flying past the Milverton goaltender. The crowd went wild!!!

It was not long into the thrid period that Milverton scored two goals, leaving the game tied at 3.  With  4 minutes left in the third period, Brad Greidanus took a pass from Dana Teed, and fired it past the Milverton goaltender.  Pretty sure he did not even see it coming!  The play was tense as Blyth worked hard to maintain their 4-3 lead.  With 1:13 left in the third period, Milverton managed to sneak one past Blyth's, Tyson Sjaarda, making it a tie game once again.

The teams were onto overtime, and to Blyth's dismay, Milverton scored making it a 5-4 victory for our opponents.  Even though Blyth ended up on the short side of the score, it was a great game of hockey!
