Midget LL Season in Review
Blyth's Midget Local League team is off to quite a start this season.  After sixteen regular season games, they stand with 5 wins, 7 losses and 4 ties.

The season opener saw Blyth against BCH.  The game ended in a 5-5 tie-what a nail bitter!!  Game two left the team wanting a little more after falling two goals short of a win in their match against Drayton. The team raised their spirits, and those of the staff and fans, when they beat Milverton 1-0 and Minto 4-2 in the next two games.

Like anything else, all good things must come to an end, and the Bulldogs found themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboard with a loss of 7-1 to Drayton.

The Bulldogs played a great game against both Milverton and Teeswater even though the scores left them at a loss.  A tie game with Listowel was a great warm up to the big win against Lucknow 1.  This was Lucknow 1's first loss of the season, making it a sweet victory.  The next two games saw our Midgets up against Mt. Forest, ending with a tie and a win.  Way to go team!!

The team came out flying to beat Minto 7-2, and then tied Listowel in a 6-6 goal scoring frenzy.  The next three games ended in a loss for the Midget LL team, but the team played well and each game could have gone either way--maybe we fed them a little too much turkey and stuffing!!

With three games postponed due to weather, the team will have ample opportunity to add some more points to their stats.

The Midget LL team will travel to Kincardine on Saturday, January 10th for an 8:30 PM faceoff.  If you're looking for a great way to spend your evening, come on out and support the team.
