Peewee Rep Team Wins Game 2
The Dogs travelled to Elma Logan on January 15th to play game #2 in their first playoff round. The game proved to be a physical match with a total of 30 minutes in penalties doled out to the two teams.
Even though Blyth played several minutes short-handed, they managed to control the ice. Blyth scored 14 goals throughout the game, while Elma Logan only managed to get one past Blyth goalie, Dalton Carey early in the 3rd period.
Blyth's goals were earned by Matt VanWyk (5), Mike VanWyk (4), Ryan Nesbitt, Arden Coultes, Spencer Stevenson, Dustin Pennington and Wyatt Carey. Assists were earned by Pennington (2), Braydon Whitfield (3), Matt VanWyk (5), Mike VanWyk (5), Trystan Weber (2), Nesbitt, Carey (3), and Stevenson.
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday, January 17th at 1:00 PM in Monkton. Come out and cheer the Dogs on.
