2nd Round, ROUND ROBIN set to START
After a hectic week of scheduling by our Team Manager, Sarah Cherrey, the 2nd round schedule is set to commence. Getting the Crusaders ready this past week for the next step was the coaching staffs priority.

The 2nd Round, ROUND ROBIN playoff is set as follows:

Friday March 1st against West Grey Warriors in Ayton @ 6 pm

Saturday March 2nd against West Grey Warriors in BLYTH @ 9 am

Tuesday March 5th against Arthur Vipers in Arthur @ 6 pm

Wednesday March 6th against Arthur Vipers in BRUSSELS @ 630 pm

This round is set up as a home and home round robin play down. Total points for the 4 games tallied. The top two teams go to the final in a best of 2 out of 3 format.

Us as a team are up against some very, very good teams. They are the top two teams in our division. West Grey has not lost a game in regular season or playoffs. Arthur finished in first place in our regular season standings only losing one game. Our two opponents can put the puck in the net and have very solid goaltending. Looking at it from a stats and player age aspect we definitely have a tough hill to climb. We will be in tough. But us as a staff know our boys will work hard, not quit, give it their all, with hopes of being competitive and have a bit of success.

I know its early for a Saturday morning, but we are asking the fans of the Crusaders to represent us the only way you know how. Lets fill the Complex and  LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!!! The kids feed off your enthusiasm and do not want to disappoint you. All the help you can give us will definitely help these troopers. And lets not forget about the game on Wednesday in the COLD BARN in Brussels. That very well could be the deciding game for us to get to the final or not. We have battled hard against Arthur this season. Arthur is a great team and we will need your help there as well.

It starts tonight in Ayton. The beginning to what we hope is a successful 2nd round. This is an opportunity that these little ones may never get again. With the changes coming down the pipe set out by Hockey Canada and OMHA, this is something we want them to remember. We are proud. We are passionate. We are respectful. We play hard. We play fair. We are CRUSADERS 4 LIFE!!!!
