Tyke 1, 2011-2012 (Blyth Brussels Minor Hockey)

Tyke one headed to Lucknow to play in the 44th Ron Alton tournament.  Kincardine was first at 10AM and the team rocked to AC/DC and came up with a 5-1 win.  Kincardine scored first, but then all three lines kicked in to bring us the win.

Our team is big at 16 kids, small dressing rooms proved to be a challenge, the small ice surface  was interesting as well. First came Mitchell and it was a battle as usual back and forth it went, stellar goaltending at each end resulted in a 0-0 tie. Then it was upstairs for some pizza and chips before the next game.

In the last week the Tyke Ones have battled 4 of their toughest opponents in Seaforth, Mitchell, Teeswater, and today BCH (Bayfield, Clinton, Hensall) who handed them a 1-0 loss the last time they met.

On Saturday the Blyth Brussels Tyke One team travelled back to Kurtsville to continue their tournament play. A strong Listowel team was their first opponent on Saturday, but our team was pumped and ready to go, defeating them and then it was Wingham at 2:00 o'clock. Another win to give them a perfect 3-0 tournament!

Blyth Brussels Tyke One were the first game of the Kurtsville Fun Week Tournament and came out with a 10-0 win over Woolwich.
