Blyth Plays Lucknow
The Peewee LL team hosted Lucknow Monday night, February 23rd. The game was a tight checking affair, and with few scoring chances by both teams, made for a great game!
After several attempts being stopped by the Lucknow goalie, Blyth finally put one in the net. With the play starting in our end, and some great teamwork to get it down the ice, Curtis Raynard carried the puck into the Lucknow end. Raynard forced the goalie to make his move, and on a perfect pass to Trystan Weber, who had an open net to tip the shot in, opened the scoring late in the 3rd period.
Blyth applied some more pressure, and Kyle Pollard came from behind the Lucknow net and poked home an insurance goal in the dying minutes. Goalie, Dustin Treble, would stop all the Lucknow attempts to earn his 2nd shutout of the playdowns. Good work team, keep playing hard.
