Peewee LL Dogs Battle Zurich
The Dogs played at home on Monday night hosting Zurich. Both teams played a tight game, with lots of chances and no scoring in the first.
Blyth would then get things rolling with Josh VanSoest scoring at the 5 minute mark of the second, with helpers from Curtis Raynard and Trystan Weber. Kyle Pollard would then fire a rocket from the blue line to score. Zurich would answer back with one for them, and then Blyth took over from there. Weber would score with help from Dalton Richmond, then Richmond would score one of his own, unassisted. The Bulldogs would then score 4 more in the third, Pollard, VanSoest with 2, and Ryan Plunkett with one. Additional assists going to Dallas Coultes, Raynard and VanSoest.
The Bulldogs played hard all night and it was a good team win, with the whole team playing really well and contributing in the win. Goalie, Dustin Treble, made several great stops in the third. The final score was 8-1. The team has one more game at home on February 9th before the playoffs start.
