Midget Girls Start 2012 on the Right Skate
The Blyth Brussels Midget Girls hosted the Mildmay Carrick Midget Girls on Monday, January 9th, in Blyth. The game was a close match with Blyth Brussels coming out on top.
The game was fast paced with some great skating from the players. Lots of shots were taken which gave both goalies a good workout.
Blyth Brussels started the scoring for the night with the first goal of the game at the end of the first period. A short-handed goal went to Lauren McNichol. Halfway through the second period Heidi Raynard scored a goal with the assist going to Tori Kellington. The Mildmay team finally put one on the score board in the third period. The final score was 2-1.
The girls played a great game and are looking forward to hear how the playdowns are going to pan out for them.
Our next game is Monday, January 16 in Blyth at 7:30 pm. Come out and cheer us on.
