Blyth-Brussels Bantam Girls, U15, 2010-2011 (Blyth Brussels Minor Hockey)

The Blyth-Brussels Bantam girls opened up their Provincial Playdowns against the Upper Maitland Mustangs in Howick tonight and came away with a convincing 6-2 win. There are six teams in the Southern loop who face off in a home or away game.  Blyth-Brussels will compete against Upper Maitland, St. Marys, Seaforth, South Huron and Lucknow.  At the end of the series the two teams with the most points advance to the Provincial finals in Brampton in April.  Good luck girls!  Come out and cheer the girls on this Saturday in Blyth at 11:00.            

The Blyth-Brussels Bantam girls participated in a hockey tournament in Aylmer recently.  They played five intense games and brought home the gold medal. Back row:  Jeff MacGavin (Asst. The Blyth-Brussels Bantam girls travelled to Aylmer on the weekend to participte in the 12th annual BADGHA hockey tournament. The team is comprised of players from Blyth, Brussels, and Wingham.  The team returned home Sunday night with the gold medal.  Congratulations girls on an exciting weekend!
