Peewee Local Take the "B"
November 14 was a cold, rainy morning, when the Peewee Local League travelled to Walkerton to play their first tournament.
The first game was at 9:00 a.m. against Mildmay. The boys came out still sleeping and lost that game with a score of Mildmay 4, Blyth 0. Afterwards coach Rob took all the kids for brunch, which was provided by the tournament convenors, consisting of hotdogs and chili. Not sure what was said, words of encouragement we assume where given as the next game was at 3:00 against TCDMHA. This was the semi-final for the B side.
Our small, but mighty team came out on top with a score of Blyth 6, TCDMHA 0. Scoring for Blyth where Craig Raynard, Colton Rodger by himself, our Gretzsky Brett Glousher, Jefferson Gordon, Owen Weber and Owen Andrews, assists going to Rodger with two, Raynard, Glousher and Cameron Gauthier each with one.
Game 3, the final game, was played at 5:00 p.m. against Listowel. Again our boys came out on top with the score being Blyth 2, Listowel 0. Scoring for Blyth this game were Patrick Franken and Gavin Workman. With assists going to Glousher. Playing solid in net for the semi-final and final game was Franklin Marshall.
