Blyth Senior Tykes Lose 1 Tie 1
The senior Tykes played away in Brussels losing 4-1, on Saturday November 24th. Their home game on Sunday November 25th resulted in a 3-3 tie against Elma Logan. Every player put their best skate forward and the coaching staff predict a promising season to come.
On November 24th the Blyth Senior Tykes travelled to Brussels. The home team came out on top defeating Blyth 4-1. The lone Blyth goal scorer was Bailey B. with the assist going to Mitch M. Jared S. played well in the Blyth net stopping a couple of breakaways and point blank shots. Coach Jeff S. said "The team played well at times but had a couple of defensive breakdowns that led to Brussels scoring".
Blyth welcomed Elma Logan on Sunday. The game went back and forth and resulted in a 3-3 tie. Blyth goals were scored by Jared S., Damon A. and Drew V. with assists going to Jared S., Bailey B., Damon A. and Mason C.. Jake G. turned away many Elma Logan scoring chances. The Blyth defense of Mitch M., Colin H., Ethan C. and Parker G. played very well in their own end. The Blyth forwards skated hard and had many scoring chances. Coach Terri G. was very impressed with the Blyth teams outcome stating that "We had two games this weekend and the players competed hard and showed great sportsmanship".
