Blyth Novice play first game of 3 out of 5 series with Saugeen Shores
Thursday March 20th the Crusaders hosted the first game of the series with Saugeen shores.
Scoring was started in the first by the Crusaders. Erik Gulutzen scored with passing coming from Brett McCutcheon and Owen Newell.
There was no scoring done in the second by either team.
Saugeen Shores came back in the third with 2 goals, giving them the advantage of a 2-1 score.
With 5:26 left in the third period Braeden MacDonald put one past the goalie with assistance from Erik Gulutzen.
The game went into a 10 minutes overtime.
The final score was 2-2.
