Midget Girls, U18, 2013-2014 (Blyth Brussels Minor Hockey)

April 13, 2014 will be a day that the Blyth Brussels Midget “C” girls hockey team will remember for the rest of their lives.  They did it!!

The Blyth Brussels Midget Girls hosted Lucknow in their home opener in Brussels on Wednesday October 23rd.  The home team ended the first with a 2 goal lead with an unassisted goal from Mackenzie Nesbitt and one from Ashley Higgins, assisted by Nesbitt

The Blyth Brussels Crusaders Midget Girls began the season on the road in Tiverton.  The Crusaders dominated the play right from the opening frame.  2:30 into the first period Ashley Higgins got the visitors onto the score board.  Three minutes later, Kathryn Chalmers, assisted by Emma Strome would score.  The period would end with Mackenzie Nesbitt scoring from Higgins. The second would see one unassisted goal added from Higgins.  Chalmers would complete the scoring with an assist from Emily Mitchell in the third.  Lindsay Shiell was awarded the shut out for the Crusaders.
