Howson Mills Crusaders even their playoff series
The Howson Mills Bantam Rep Crusaders continued their OMHA playoff series with the Seaforth Stars, traveling to Seaforth for the second game.


The Crusaders played their best game of the season, taking the play to the Seaforth team all night.

Mason Weber opened the scoring in the first period with an assist going to Ryan Jacklin. An unlucky bounce allowed the Stars to tie the game, and the first period ended in a 1-1 tie.

Myles Johnston put the Crusaders up by one at the beginning of the second period with assists going to Ryan Jacklin and Mason Weber. The Crusaders continued their strong play, and the second period ended tied at 2-2.

The Crusaders started the third period like they were on a mission. Bailey Bos, with an assist to Jacob Roth put the Crusaders up 3-2, but another unlucky bounce allowed the Stars to tie the game at 3-3, but the Crusaders would not be denied their victory.

Dakota Coultes and Alex Coultes played a strong defensive game, keeping the Stars to the outside of the rink, and not allowing them to get set up in front of the net, making life easier for goalie Max Newson.

The Crusaders went ahead and stayed there on a power play goal by Mason Weber, assisted by Cole Zwep and Nick Aitken.

Seaforth pulled their goalie to try and tie the game, but Cole Zwep was able to score on the empty net putting the game out of reach.  Ryan Jacklin, with this third point of the night, got the .
