Big Win for Novice AE
The team hosted Zurich for a Sunday afternoon game. Zurich got on the scoreboard early in the 1st period but that didn't discourage Blyth Brussels.
Going into the second period the team let one more goal past the pads of the goalie, but soon after that Brett McCutcheon got the team on the scoreboard unassisted. With Blyth Brussels down by one, Dawson Dunbar found a hole and shot the puck through the goalie to tie the game.
Now the fans were on the edge of their seats cheering on their team. Kaeden Huether received a pass from Marley Fleet and Kal McNichol and slammed the puck in the net to take the lead.
Connor Hallahan, Bradley Hummel, Colby Nicholson and Liam Shortreed played great defense and kept the puck over the blue line. Griffin Marshall, Joel Nesbit and Kaleb Roth were busy keeping the puck up the ice for the final buzzer to end the game!
Lucas Jacklin kept a low scoring game by saving numerous pucks from going in.
Great teamwork and coaching skills paid off!! Way to go!!
