WOAA Playoffs....
Last Sunday we traveled to Kincardine for our 1st of 3 games.  The Crusaders didn't come out on the winning side but a great effort was made by all.

The 1st period was busy with our team working at getting their legs back under them from having some time off between games.  Both teams had to keep alert as penalty kills and power plays dominated a lot of the 10 minutes.  Hayden Lee, our goalie, made some dynamic saves.  He had his glove smokin and the pads busy protecting the net.

For the middle period there was a lot of back and forth action.  Ava Strome, Jackson Hallahan, Kurtis Marks and Connor Dale were able to make some good shots on net.  It wasn't until the 2:17 mark that Brett McCutcheon battled for his control of the puck in the defensive zone.  With that control and determination he moved all the way down the ice for a top corner, glove side goal to give he and his Crusaders their lone point of the match.

After an ice flood and much needed rest the team came out ready to continue a good game of hockey.  We had a few penalty kills that proved worrisome for the opposition's goalie.  Carson Bromley and Shea Cox worked the defensive edge keeping the Kincardine Kinucks on their toes.  With only a couple minutes left to play we were able to work out a 6 on 3 advantage in the offensive end.  Their were many shots on net and great opportunities but just not able to get a goal to count.  Luke Fisher, with only seconds left on the clock, gave another energetic shot on net.  The game would end with a score of 3 to 1 for Kincardine.

The PeeWee Rep's once again worked well as a team and gave their goalie lots of help on the ice.  Even when times get frustrating these players don't let it over take their effort and determination.  Keep up the positive attitude!!

The next game is February 13th in Kincardine....if you can't come out to cheer keep us in mind!!!
