Kickin The Rust Off....
After a long break from any game action, the PeeWee Rep Crusaders got back into force with an exhibition game against Minto Mad Dogs.  It turned out to be a tough match.

The Crusaders worked hard in the first 2 periods as they learned to get their game legs back in shape.  There was a lot of back and forth action by both teams.  Both our goalies, TJ Groves and Hayden Lee worked hard as they had many shots on the net.  Both made great saves and stopped many rebounds.  Ava Strome, Carson Bromley, Brett McCutcheon and Connor Dale all had many shots on the oppostion's net only to have them shut down.

The third period was when our players began to shine.  After a break for flooding and getting a feel for the workings of Minto Mad Dogs, the team came out ready to keep up the battle.  At 9:23 Carson on defense passed the puck to Connor who moved it down the ice a little more and gave the pass to Ava, who made a top shelf, far corner, glove side goal.  This was the team's single point of the contest.  Excellent teamwork again!!

The defensive squad of Bryce Shortreed, Carson, Thymen VanderPloeg and Shea Cox had a big job on their plates and they all handled it very well.  The coaching staff pulled up a couple of our AP crew with Landyn Hallahan and Luke Fisher.  Both boys always prove their talent and give the reps great support.  Thank you for your time and dedication.

With a challenge as this game the entire forward group had to keep their head's up and work on the drills they have been taught.  Jake Bromley, Jackson Hallahan and Kurtis Marks did exactly this as they worked along side their line mates.

With the play off schedule posted we will be playing this team again next week.  Come on out and cheer on the PeeWee Rep Crusaders.  The support is greatly appreciated and sure to keep up the spirit of the game :)
