Mitchell Tournament...Game #1
The PeeWee Rep Crusaders have entered their first tournament of the season. A local drive to Mitchell. Our first game was one against Shallow Lake Lakers. We didn't come out with the win but did work hard trying.
The Crusaders started scoring in the second period. With less than 2 minutes into play Carson Bromley gained control of the puck passed it over to Kurtis Marks, who than moved it further ahead for a pass to Brett McCutcheon. Brett found the open spot and snuck it past the goalie. The remainder of the period was used to continue shooting and keeping a good defensive front.
At 12:02 of the third period our Crusaders worked up the puck to give us our second goal. Connor Dale used his long arms to get the puck back in possession while Brett skated to the open area and was able to receive the pass. Once all that was set up, Brett passed to Jackson Hallahan for point on our side of the scoreboard. Less than 3 minutes later, with momentum high, Connor repeated his handy work for a pass to Kurtis who found the Jake Bromley. Jake was the person for the job as he gave the Crusaders their third goal.
Coach Trevor mentioned that a few bad puck bounces didn't work in our favour while each player worked hard and gave him something to be proud of.
