Cherrey posts first shutout of the Season
The kids are buying in folks!!! Team speed, team play, fore check, back check, stop the puck, clear the puck, is what we have preaching all season. And that is exactly what the Crusaders are doing now heading into Silverstick, in Ripley over the Christmas break.

Although the kids may not have been liking practice as much lately, the fruits of their labour are ripe and ready and taste oh so fine. We have been working on conditioning, as we as the staff were easy on the kids, thus far in the season. Now the hard work is paying off ten fold. And by ten fold I mean the Crusaders beat the visiting Blizzard from Huron-Bruce, (Ripley/Lucknow) by a score of 10-0. Yes, team tenacity on offensive pressure and team defence and lastly, timely scoring lead to the total domination of the Blizzard. Everett The Blyth Brawler was in net posting his first career shut out. Everett complimented the hard work of his team mates, especially his defence, saying " without their hard work and team discipline, the shut out would not have happened." Hot Rod Rodney Ansley scored 6 more goals in his chase to 100 on the campaign. Thus far he has posted 84 in 22 games. Justin Case Fleet added 2 more in his chase to 50 on the season, and The Blonde Bomber Damon Shannon, added a solo goal in his quest for 30-40 as a forward and defenseman. That is something to proud of Damon. Commitment at both positions. Hard to find at any level.
Christmas is at our door step boys. Enjoy your time with your family. Family is all we have in the end. Be good, be safe, and get rested for the tournament. Miss Sarah and I would like to extend our deepest best wishes in wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas. God's Blessings.
