BATTLE OF THE TITANS
Well folks, I said Classic and the game lived up to the hype. This game was definitely THE BATTLE OF THE TITANS. The game started with the pace of a Major Triple AAA pace. These little guys were flying. End to end they went. Big save after big save. At times it looked like both teams were playing like their life depended on it. Great job to the Crusaders  and the Vipers. Final score was 7-6 for the Vipers, handing the Crusaders their first regular season loss.

The tight checking by the Vipers against Fleet and Ansley was instrumental in the Viper victory. Justin Case Fleet was held off the score sheet and Hot Rod Ansley was held to just 2 goals and 2 assists. Not a bad game for most but Hot Rod is averaging just under 5 goals a game, so the Vipers did their job very well. The Viper goaltender, Connor James, was absolutely the star of the game. He was the game changer.
Sometimes in hockey boys, the hockey Gods are against you. Not taking away anything from the Vipers but we just couldn't buy a bounce. We hit the post 3 times and hand multiple chances in close but couldn't jam one past the Viper tender James. Everett The Blyth Brawler returned to the net and played good enough to win but sometimes that's not good enough. To beat a team like Arthur you have to be perfect and we were not. Things to work on in practice and for the remainder of the season for sure.
The kids worked hard, tried their hardest, and didn't quit. We will be seeing Arthur in the future down the road in playoffs. So in saying that, we say....until we meet again!!!
