Bantam Crusaders Clinch Bantam B West Playoff Title
After 3 playoff rounds that each required the full 3 games and then some to decide, the Crusaders Bantam B team clinched the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League West Division title.  The win earns the team a trip to Mississauga on March 29th and 30th to battle for the LLFHL championship against the other 3 playoff winners.  39 teams started the season in the B category and now we are down to the final 4 teams.

The first round was against the Mount Forest Rams and needed overtime and a shootout after the third game to clinch that series.  Next up was a very familiar foe in the Milverton Royals.  Familiar might be an understatement since, this series ended with the 10th game with the Royals this year.  Our girls took it easy on the parents by clinching the series in game 3 with a 2-0 victory on home ice.

That set up a showdown with the Woolwich Wild (Elmira).  The 22 game regular season ended with the Wild in first place with 37 points to our second place Crusaders with 33 points.  The girls would again test the nerves of the parents with the series going the distance.  The final game on Sunday March 23rd in St. Jacobs would need overtime and then a shootout to determine the winner.  After six shooters, the victory was secured !!  Way to go girls.

The team advances to Mississauga next week to compete for the LLFHL Championship.  The other division winners are Zorra Fuzion, Lindsay Lynx and the Vaughan Flames.
