Atom LL Burgandy Season Ends on a High
This weekend the team traveled to Lucknow for a one day tournament to end their hockey year by winning the tournament.
Starting at 10:00AM the team got their first win under their belts by beating Hanover 4-2.
After lunch and blowing off some steam the team was ready to play their next game against Embro. After not having much action in the first period, the Bulldogs got on the scoreboard in the second period to get things rolling and take the game 3-0. MVP was handed out to Cole Zwep for that game.
They were super excited and pumped to be playing in the final game against St Marys. It didn't take long to get the scoreboard lit up by putting 4 goals in the net in the first period. The second period the team shoved 5 more goals in the net to win the game 9 -0 and left Ty McNichol with a shut out and MVP of the game.
"A" Champions!! Sticks and gloves were thrown in the air to show the excitement of the team!!
What a great way to end the season - on a high! Great coaching by Jerry Zwep, Ian Johnston and Brian McNichol - way to go!!
