Peewee AE's Roll Undefeated in the Past 5 Games
The Blyth Brussels Peewee AE team has continued success on the ice with a win and a tie in the past two weeks.

On November 23rd the Goderich Sailors were back in Blyth to take on the locals for the 2nd consecutive week. The 1st period remained scoreless and it wasn't until a minute and a half into the 2nd when Wyatt Machan went top shelf on a pass from Drew Van Wyk to take  a 1-0 lead. With a man in the penalty box, Goderich would capitalize on the power play and tie the game with 3:56 remaining in the 3rd. It would only take Blyth Brussels a little over a minute to take the lead back when Nolan Johnston banged home a rebound from an Avery McArter shot. Jarron Thompson would keep the Sailors off the scoresheet for the remainder of the game with help from strong defence by Jared Shearer, Brett Stevenson, Josh Gibbons and Dylan McNeil. Injured Captain, Ben Newell welcomed Owen Andrews back by presenting him with his bronze medal from a previous tourney in the room after the game.

On November 30th the Drives from Milverton rolled into Blyth, our boys were keen as they had a full roster for the 1st time this season. Milverton jumped out to an early lead within the 1st minute but Blyth Brussels answered back two minutes later when Jared Shearer popped one in past the Drives goalie, assisted by Benny Newell. Milverton would take the lead again in the 2nd and the home team would equalize when Avery McArter would score on a pass from Nolan Johnston. A minute later the Drives would regain the lead but it would only last a few minutes when McArter went in alone and notched his 2nd of the game unassisted. The score would be tied for the start of the 3rd. The seasaw battle would continue as Milverton scored at the 11:31 mark of the the frame to regain the lead once again. Back and forth hockey, with a couple great penalty kills for the home team, would help build momentum leading to Drew Van Wyk scoring, to knot the game at four, assisted by Owen Andrews at 3:51 remaining. Blyth Brussels' penalty kill would go to work once again with netminder Jeremy Wilts standing tall between the pipes and hold the Drives off for a 4-4 tie.

The team's next game is in Listowel at 5:50pm Saturday, December 10th.
