Peewee AE's Split Last Two
The peewee AE team split two games in two weeks losing a close one to Zurich and beating a tough Goderich squad.

On November 9th the Zurich Thunder travelled to Blyth to take on the boys. The 1st period would remain scoreless as both goalies would stand tall between the pipes. Zurich would open the scoring at the 7:27 mark of the 2nd and score again a full period later at 6:37 of the 3rd to take a 2-0 lead. A little over a minute later Avery McArter would steal the puck and score to make it 2-1. Zurich would hold on for the win.

On wednesday night the boys would meet the Sailors from Goderich in Blyth. The Blyth Brussels boys came out strong wanting to avenge their loss to Goderich earlier in the season. Big Ben Newell would take off down the ice some 22 seconds into the 1st picking up his own rebound and stuffing it in for the early lead. Goderich would tie the game 5 minutes later but was short lived when Avery McArter would grab a rebound from a Craig Raynard shot to take the lead once again. Drew Van Wyk would slide the puck under the Sailor goalie assisted by Carson Richmond to take a 3-1 lead to the 2nd. McArter would notch his 2nd of the game taking the puck from the Sailor defenceman and scoring shorthanded. Goderich would answer right back 8 seconds later to make it 4-2 and again at 9:21 in the 3rd to bring them within one. The boys seemed to lay back a we bit in the 3rd but Blyth Brussels netminder Jeremy Wilts closed the door and maintained the win for the home team. All the boys put forth a great effort for the victory, a great game by all!
