Atom AE Up 2 Games to 1
Blyth Brussels Atom AE travelled to Mount Forest for game 3 hoping to continue their winning ways.
Blyth Brussels survived an early shot barrage in the first few minutes and Cole Zwep in net turned them all aside. On this night it was Blyth Brussels that would strike first when Connor Brooks went top shelf after he was sprung with a nice forward pass from Nick Aitken. The Atom AE's would go up by 2 and take that lead to the second intermission after Jason Wilts scored with assists going to Connor Brooks and Reece Sparling.
The third period saw Mount Forest climb to within 1 goal a minute and 2 seconds into the period but at the 10:07 mark Blyth Brussels restored the 2 goal lead when Tyler Drennan scored, assisted by Tanner Boven, and then the game was put out of reach when Ty scored his second of the game assisted by Myles Johnston.
Blyth Brussels hustled to the puck and showed a real team effort - keep up the good work.
Game #4 is Saturday in Blyth at 11:30 AM, with hopes of taking this series.
