2 Wins for Novice LL on the Weekend
Blyth Brussels hosted Goderich on Saturday morning. The only goal was scored in the second period by Mitch Townsend, assisted by Braiden Abell-Rinn and Bailey Coles. The team played well together and kept the score at 1-0 to take the win.
On Sunday afternoon the team traveled to Clinton to face BCH. With a scoreless first period the team came out and finally got on the scoreboard in the second with Mitchell Townsend poking one through the pads assisted by Braiden Abell-Rinn.
BCH fought back and scored right after the face off. Both teams tried to score many times in the third but the goalies had great saves.
Heading into a 10 minute sudden death overtime the team was keen to get it started. Halfway through sudden death Mitch Townsend got the puck past the goalie, with the help of Jeffery Walden and Griffin Marshall. Outstanding goaltending played by Ty McNichol.
