Novice LL Win Hawks Cup
Traveling back to Mitchell on Thursday the team played Mitchell Walkoms for their 3rd game. Putting 3 goals in the net the first period, the team was on fire. Scoring his first goals of the season was Liam Shortreed with 2, assisted by Kennedy Huether and Braden Radford.
Mitchell Townsend slipped one past the goalie with the help of Radford. Coming out in the second 3 more goals were scored by Jeffery Walden, unassisted, Huether assisted by Paige Willie, and the final goal was by Bailey Coles making this her first goal of the season.
The final game was a "sit on the edge of your seat" kind of game! Blyth Brussels came out strong scoring 3 in the first period. Braden Radford scored his first 2 goals of the season, assisted by Walden, Townsend and Colton Beaven. Walden scored on a break-a-way to take the lead. Townsend and Walden ripped 2 in the net to win the Hawks Cup! Making great saves between the pipes was Ty McNichol.
Proud coaches are Tim Walden, Mike Radford and Brian McNichol. Hard work and team work sure does pay off.
