Bantam LL Win 'A' Side at Lucknow
The Bantam LL played in the Elaine Irwin Memorial Tournament in Lucknow this past weekend.
The boys had an early start as their first game was at 9:15 am. They played against Tiverton. Despite a slow start to the scoreboard, Blyth Brussels squeaked out a 5-4 win with less than a minute left on the clock.
Their second game was against Seaforth. Seaforth took an early lead, but our Bantams came back to tie and then take the lead. The Blyth Brussels Bantams won 3-1 sending them to the "A" finals later that afternoon. MVP of the game went to goalie, Derrick Waechter.
They were paired up against Lucknow. The Blyth Brussels Bantams came out to play and win. They scored two early goals to take and maintain the lead. The final score was 4-3 earning them the "A" Championship title. MVP of the game went to Patrick Franken. Captain, Jason Baxter accepted the trophy on behalf of the team. Great job guys!!!
