The Blyth Bantam LL hosted the Mount Forest Rams on Monday November 1 and put on a great show.
They struck first getting one by Blyth’s net minder Dalton Carey approximately 5 minutes into the first period. Quinton Sjaarda put Blyth on the board with 8:29 left in the first. Mount Forest struck back twice putting two more in Blyth’s net. Curtis Raynard got Blyth their second of the night with assists going out to Daymien Brak and Ryan Plunkett. The period ended with Blyth down 2 to 3.
The second period was a shut out at both ends of the ice. There were also a number of penalties on both sides. Mount Forest was able to find the back of the net in the dying minutes of the second to put them up by 2.
Mount Forest struck first again in the third, followed quickly with a goal from Kyle Pollard assisting was Jeremy Grisdale. Mount Forest got two more unanswered goals. To finish the third Quinton got his second of the game.
The final score was Blyth 4 and Mount Forest 7.
