Midget LL Season Opener
Blyth LL Midgets travel to Walkerton for the season opener. The Midgets defeated Walkerton by a score of Blyth 5 and Walkerton 1. Solid performance by all team members including goaltenders Kennen MacDonald and Nathan Watson.
Scoring for Blyth was opened up in the first when Ben Pletch found the back of the net assisted by Ryan Sjaarda and Brad Gethke. Also in the first came a goal from Dana Teed asissted by Connor Prescott.
In the second we found the net two more times, goals from Kevin Pennington and Austin Sjaarda, and one assist from Rob Hoftyzer.
In the third Zach Watson finished the scoring off with an assist from Tyler Stevenson.
