The Rest of the Story
Well with Coach Scott Stevenson back behind the bench the Bantam Rep boys started their second game of the year off by striking first as Mike VanWyk scored with help from his brother Matt and Spencer Stevenson. With that first goal on the board the Dogs just kept coming and ended the first period up by 4 goals.

The second period played out much like the first except for Ryan Nesbitt and Dustin Pennington taking a trip to the sin bin for two minutes each. The Dogs were able to kill both penalties and ended the second period up by 10 goals.

The third period was once again dominated by the Dogs but in the dying minutes of the third period Brussels was able to shatter any thoughts of a shut out by Blyth's netminder Dalton Carey as they put one by him. At the end of the third Brussels was able to get a total of two goals and Blyth put four more into the Brussels net.

The final score was Blyth 14 and Brussels 2. The scoring breaks down as follows Dustin Pennington with 4, Matt VanWyk with 3, Wyatt Carey, Mike VanWyk and Robbie Gordon each had 2, and Ryan Nesbitt had 1. Many assists were had by all.

Speacial thanks goes out to Neil Rodger for stepping up to be the team Trainer as required.

The Dog's next game is in Blyth this Sunday at 5:30pm as the 2010-2011 Season is officially kicked off with the Zurich  Thunder coming to town.

Come out and cheer the Dogs On.
