Atom Girls are Back on Track
During the Christmas break the girls played three games in the Milverton Holiday Challenge.  The  girls were handed three straight losses in the round robin play meeting up against Waterloo, Zorra and Milverton.  The lone goal scored in the tourney came from centremen Sarah Strome.

The girls headed back to league play alot stronger, recording two ties and one win.

The first game was in Durham on Jan 2/11. This one resulted in a tie at two a piece.  Scoring her first goal of the season was defenseman, Jasmine Vader with a shot from the blue line.  The second goal was scored by Strome assisted by Alicia Ireland.  Clarissa Gordon stepped up to play an impressive game in net, keeping Durham from scoring anymore goals!

The team travelled a long way to Desboro on Jan 9/11 to meet up against TCDMHA Rebels.  The girls played excellent and stayed in the game despite the first goal being scored by TCDMHA :36 sec into play.  In the second period the girls lit up the score board twice with goals from Morgan Willie and Dana Dolmage, both unassisted!  Halfway into the third period the Rebels tied up the game, which would be the last of the scoring.  Julia Beaven turned away several shots on net!  Way to go girls!

On Jan 16/11 the Icedogs hosted the Mt. Forest Rams in Brussels.  The first period went quickly with equal play in both ends.  The team wasn't able to put in any goals until the second period.  The first goal was credited to first year player, winger Kayla Gauthier. The team was excited for Kayla's first goal!!  Assists on Kayla's goal went to Brookelyn Johnston and Dolmage.  Strome netted the second goal, with assist from Willie and Dolmage.  Julia Beaven was credited with the shut out.  Keep up the great work girls!
